Some good may come of the cold weather. Heard on the news that many harmful insect larvae will not survive and that the ash borer may have been killed off by 85-90%.
And, heard a grower in FL suggest that the cold will actually help the orange crop by causing sweeter and more juicy fruit.
It's supposed to get to 59 tomorrow. Pretty nice for N. AZ. I'll take it!

Wow, I was hoping to make the same kind of investment payoff, so I tried looking up what he did. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any evidence this ever happened. Can you provide a citation so I might make my own billion?

Dave, there is his Oscar, and his Nobel prize which comes with a cash stipend. The income from his book, "Earth in the lurch," and the big prize, the Chicago carbon credit exchange.

Seems I was right when I thought I was exaggerating his awards. Turned out I missed a few. (The Clio was a joke, however. I thought most of them were, on my part, seems like they are TRUE jokes.)
Gore has received a number of awards including the Nobel Peace Prize (joint award with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) (2007), a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album (2009) for his book An Inconvenient Truth,[12] a Primetime Emmy Award for Current TV (2007), and a Webby Award (2005). Gore was also the subject of the Academy Award-winning (2007) documentary An Inconvenient Truth in 2006. In 2007 he was named a runner-up for Time's 2007 Person of the Year.
