Replacing old casters with new Premium ones.

I want to replace my casters, and I want to do it only once. So, would 4" casters be a better choice than the standard 3" upgrade? Are there drawbacks to 4"?

If you want to be certain that you'll only have to do it once, I'd strongly recommend that you use the wheels from Shopsmith.

I can not find any 4" grip ring stem casters that are rated to support more than 115 lbs. I have 4" casters leftover from my new tool chest on my reborn construction Shopsmith. They do not appear to be that rugged and will not just go over the garage door offset without my help. I found the 3" casters actually worked better getting in and out of the garage.
