They say the memory is the second thing to go......That way you won't remember what the first thing was. 
I do know that I say "It's on the tip of my tongue" a whole heck of a lot more than I used to.

Yesterday I set about lubing the Shopsmith. Got the upper sheave oiled with no problem. The bottom sheave is too low for me to bend over and spend time searching for the hole. So, I sat on the floor, rotated the shaft, spread the spring, not remembering exactly how far along the shaft was the hole, I had to try several times. Just couldn't find it. Needed more light! Got up and retrieved my head mounted LED and went back to the process. FINALLY found it. So, in one simple process, three age related hindrances reared their ugly heads. Not to mention the concrete shop floor was darned cold!

Use a permanent marker to mark the location of the oil hole on the sheave.
