Yes, I've done this in the past and had to recover many systems set up with dual boot when Windows did something that kept the other OS from working. For security reasons, I don't really want anything to do with Windows. The GPS was a gift or I would not have it now.

Using a separate hard drive only takes seconds to swap. Replacing it was a no brainer. It preserved my warranty and the the replacement I bought for Linux is much faster and three times as big.

I was hoping that you had found a new way to use Sketch Up that didn't use Wine.

No I did not...but so far it seems to be invisible...
