That cam is a cnc milled aluminum cam courtesy of hdoilcan(and about $80!)]may[/B] still have 'extras'.
What 'bit' did you use to mill the cam?
I actually have two Shopsmith belts that have the same number as the Mark VII manual for sure. Both are on headstocks. I would have to pull a third apart to see. Two are on functional machines. The third headstock that I just finished is the spare. It looks fairly new and still measured a 1/2" wide. The belt was cogged. I took it to Napa and they measured it to be the 29.5. The Napa belt is deeper. I would not have thought it would make any difference but it was to short. I think a thirty would work. The previous owner of that one had a 31 on it and that was too long. I will try to get a tape on it tomorrow.

I used a 1/4" carbide tipped straight bit.
Thank You, and TIA!

The Mark VII parts manual (2/66) that I have lists the belt as Belt - Motor Drive 507490. I measured the belt on the machine: outer circumference was 30 1/8", height 5/16", and 1/2" width. The Napa belt I tried was XL 25 9295 which was slightly small. Here is a picture of the belt on the machine with the original part number. If anyone knows what the 19 and 76 mean please let me know. Coincident or not 76cm equals 29.9213" and 19mm equals 0.748031"? The 19 would seem wide if that was the case.
