So what are you using it for without one?
For this purpose(no tilting) an adapter plate could be made to enable mounting the table(sans trunion etc.) to extension table mounting tubes.
Or make a table top from melamine surfaced PB with a slot.

I already have the table. I'd rather use what I have than make something. I've not done much sanding recently.
Originally I wanted to find a bargain on a Mark V locally and convert it to a shorty sanding station. Now I'm thinking more along the lines of just buying some full length tubes and taking all the parts I have and making another Mark V with a cabinet base. I have everything I need to do this except the tubes.
I hope I'm making sense. I have a good buzz going from medication.
