Not sure if they are right brained, or not.
Beware of dancing doctors shaking gourds! :D

I'm Locomotive Engineer Everyone hates me I'm used to it. I get the finger dozens of times every day.

For some reason there are a few rail fans waiting at crossings to take pictures of passing trains.
Maybe my job can't be to bad if people spend their day off watching me work.

Lighting,
the RR right of way is on my backyard property line, 40ft away from my bedroom and patio door on it to the verada, with an active track, I used to hate the "whistle" any time any where, I like trains and the rumble of those 16-20 piston desiels, and the vibes of the load on the tracks. Shoot, one just blew threw as I was typing this!!! Now I have embraced the "whistle"!!!! ANYTIME!!! Got to know the difference of who is "engineering" by there whistle blast, their own signature so to speak.

Lighting,
just remembered I worked with a train nut 30 years ago, he bought a few acres in northern WI, triangled shaped, a set of active tracks on each side, for the explicit reason to watch the trains go by!!!

I too used to reside near a track. There was a crossing about a mile from the house, and one further down the llne a block away. There was one engineer who seemed to always be on the graveyard shift. He was usually passing by about 0300 to 0400 and would start blowing for the nearby crossing at the aforementioned crossing a mile away. - -. - with very little silence between the 'toots'. The last - extended through the crossing. Then immediately he woulds start again for the next crossing about a mile and a half even further down the line. Yes it took a mile and a half to finish the toots.

No other trains woke me up and I am sure there were many.

The right place for this post!!!
db5, dont beat yourself up from not being in an engineer mind frame, I am 62 years old on Monday, when I start my business remodeling bath rooms I want to call it "Anal Retentive Bathroom Remodeling"!!! I figured most would not understand, and turn off the others!!! As JPG said, it has nothing to do with anus. I have spent the last 20 years getting out of A symmetrical thinking and design, my business partner was non symmetrical and we came up with great tile designs.
My mothers 11 siblings are all artist in some form or an other, I think me to, but cant always break out of that engineer/symmetrical mold, getting better at it, and better design work too because of it. We need thinkers like you to help us from ourselves!!!! Here is a link to ,y uncle Bob which I was named after and after his death grew the beard, as in my avatar, in memory of him, it now is gone but read his uligy as posted here please. He was an original "Hippy"
Then give yourself some forgiveness for not being like us and think about you contribute to us and others like us who are stuck on that left side. Remember, jet pilots have to be mechanically orientated, BUT they work out of there right side of the brain.
