Thank you for sharing that Mike. I never knew about this ipod stuff. I am currently trying to learn as much as I can and this internet stuff is really starting to fill the void. I thank you again. My PBS station has the Woodturners Workshop, I understand he is going national soon. Of course it is all about woodturning. It's a local turner here in Oklahoma. Its fun and he does make mistakes and we can see them. I like that because I always make mistakes when making sawdust. I have been trying to make Nick's five point checklist perminent in my head. I am always forgetting to lockdown the carriage.

You can see a link to download either mp4, wmv, or subscribe to it using iTunes. I like the iTunes approach because you can set it to automatically download all new episodes.

I hope Shopsmith eventually does the same thing with the sawdust sessions, etc.

I just spent three hours watching these today. I don't know why because the weather is beautiful and I really should have been in the shop.

If you haven't seen one of these sessions, you are missing some fine instruction on woodworking and woodworking tools.

While many folks performed their woodworking tasks for centuries without the help of a podcast or TV show, the current digital media greatly accelerate the trial and use of all the tools available. Nothing like seeing another person successfully use a seemingly complex tool.

The online shows have given me the confidence to try making all kinds of things with the Shopsmith. Hats off to Nick, Rick, and Shopsmith for transitioning to the new era.

Another point, is that I made my initial order after a recent series of Traveling Academy classes presented by Rick Davis, but have continued to make SS purchases, because I watched the Saw Dust Sessions and other on-demand online shows. I need to stop watching them for a while, or I'll be eating beans for the rest of the year...LOL.
