Seriously, GREAT to see you here! Yes, I'm the "skou" that Bob referred to.

A couple of things. If those "grinding bits" aren't cone shaped, they won't work for sharpening mortise chisels. And if they are, they need to be the correct angle.

Next, as Bob alluded to, a Model 10 is a good addition to ANYONE'S tool box. Having a couple is not out of line, either. Common consesus here, is that they are the best Shopsmith to use as a lathe, and as a dedicated drill-press, they are amazing, as well as inexpensive.

If you need any advice on the Model 10, just ask here. Many members have one. Some of us have 4. (Like me.)
