Hmm. I think the dado insert would be better - just have to mill out a place for the riving knife.

Please give me the dimension with your wooded stopper in place and tell me how thick the stopper is. I can go from there. Thanks.

Afterthought: In addition, please give me the dimensions from the plate to the table saw insert cut out on each side of the blade. Mine measures 1.5" on the left side.

Dusty, do you need more measurements to compare? I can't check now without waking up others but if you need more I'll check tomorrow. I have an 82 Mk V 500. I also have a greenie - the quill may or may not be in it.

Forrestb - I like that solution for the stop tube/block.

EDIT: oh, didn't realize this was already over a week old. I suspect you have the information you need.
