New Catalog

Chuck and I are at the far left side of the country (not only geographically:rolleyes: ) so mail could be slow.

Chuck, I grew up in the South so far out in the sticks that we didn't get The Grand Ole Opry till Monday. Okay:o for that old one.

Maybe, if we ask real nicely, Shopsmith would consider releasing the next catalog mailing beginning on the west coast and moving slowly east.

Is this a new full size catalog or just a seasonal flyer? If it is a new full size catalog, I am really anxious to receive my copy.

I am sorry to hear that. Since I save to file all of the email specials, I'll probably not see anything in this edition that I don't already have. Now I am not so anxious.

I have not seen the flyer but I would bet that they are! The keyless chuck is a relatively new item that they want to advertise.

I have always thought that a seasonal special should be offered on all miscellaneous hardware (nuts, bolts, screws, washers, knobs, switches, handles, windows, key chucks, etc, etc). It would be a sorta 'expanded' help kit without the wax, rags and hex wrench.

Hardware items that are unique to the Shopsmith equipment (available from no one other than Shopsmith) would be another good special offering.

I have not received one yet. I wish they would come out with at least one full catalog once a year. I am sure the prices would change during the year, but at least we would have one to order from. I like paper better than digital.

I like paper (catalogs) much better than digital versions. I probably should not. I am more inclined to make purchases from paper catalogs. I carry one in the truck for those long waits at the mall. That is when I found most of the items that I purchased.

The prices seem pretty stable EXCEPT when they announce price changes. I believe that the online catalog prices are accurate.

Now if only someone who got a catalog would respond to what is in it ? I guess they are too busy reading the new catalog

I get woodworking catalogs from other vendors. As I read them and find something I like or want I circle it and fold the page. The wife loves this she uses them as suggestions for presents for me.

She says I make her life easy that way.

Ask almost anyone and you will find they are frustrated trying to figure out what to buy for others around the holidays.

Catalogs solve the problem. Circle everything you want or need and hand it to them. I did this as a child I would take the toy catalog and mark everything I wanted. My mother then could find what she could afford and know it was something I wanted.

Shopsmith is missing that boat. Woodcraft, Rockler and Lee Valley know and love my wife.
