This is very timely. The other day I was using the bandsaw, with the miter guage as I regularly do, and thought how annoying it was that the second slot kept catching on the slide. Fillers are on the top of my list, now.
The miter as a fence is genius. I had made a simple tee that I clamp and has been fine, but this is a better plan.
