What the heck...

Post by 2centsworth »

Right back at you sir. For years I have had to be politically correct around the Holidays not to offend anyone. I would simply say Happy Holidays. As the years go by and the political world stays in turmoil I have decide why am I compromising my feelings for other people who really don't care. So what the heck Happy Thanksging, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all ! :D

What really irks me is the Salvation Army 'bell ringers' saying 'Happy Holidays'. I always reply with "It's Merry Christmas!", the reason for the season!!!". More often than not I do get a "MERRY CHRISTMAS" back.:)

Actually, and I have this on good authority, ( my own of course:D )
that the word "holiday" is a corruption of the term "Holy Day". So when I am greeted by Happy Holiday I reply with Happy Holy Days to you too.

As usual, as of late, I am late to the party :o

As I get older I find that words are just that, however it is the feeling and truth behind them means the most.

To Dusty and all those wishing the world Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, as a member of the world, I say Thank You and please accept my wish that your corner of the world is filled with happiness, merriment and joy.

To everyone, I wish for you the kindest of words and deeds that make your heart the happiest and your life it's fullest and also the treasure of friends with which to share your world; no matter what you choose to call it.

Be well,
Ben

May all of your Christmas shopping and shop work be done! I am pleased to say that I am. This is very unusual. I am normally still sanding and painting the day before Santa goes airborne.

Christmas next year is now a new target date for us. We hope to be camping out by 'the lake' in the newly renovated travel trailer then. I got a lotta work to do.

Again, Merry Christmas to all. If you are not ready, why are you reading this. You should be in the shop. Twenty four days to go.
