Get a 5/8 dowel and a four foot long piece of wood/plywood. Drill 5/8 holes and glue the dowel pieces in an screw it to the wall.

With sanding disks and blades, I have ten to store somewhere SAFE.

The attached photo shows how I chose to do that. Now I wish it held at least a couple more.

Thanks Dusty I think that setup would work the best in my shop. Also, I found out that arbor was NOT left hand thread. It was regular thread... The only thing I could think of was that it goes on the arbor opposite the quill. I plan to paint it bright orange so it's easy to tell apart from the rest.

Interesting. Though bothersome! I will have to check to verify my recollections but I don't believe I have any 'Shopsmith Arbors' that are not left hand thread. I know that someone will correct me if I am wrong but I don't believe Shopsmith sells an arbor that is not left hand thread.

If you make any of these, be aware that the sanding disk arbor is different than the saw arbors. It makes a little bit of difference in how the arbor cradles into the cutout. Also, leave adequate space between brackets. I consider mine to be too close together.

Yeah I'm not sure it's official Shopsmith merch, but looks pretty similar. Also, about what angle are those pockets 15 degrees or so? Maybe mine should lean out a bit more to avoid jabbing my fingers on the blade above. Or is that what you're talking about?

The two on the left certainly appear to be Shopsmith arbors.

For the 510, the 1 1/4" arbor is left hand thread with the nut on the headstock side of the blade. The 5/8" arbor is right hand thread with the nut opposite the headstock.
