Which CNC machine do you use want

I went with plans and parts from CNCRouterParts, and have been very happy. On the other hand, I'm pretty computer, software, and hardware savvy, so I found the challenge to be fun. If I were to recommend a commercial system, I would say ShopBot, due in no small part to the loyal users and forums, not unlike here. And you cannot go wrong with Vectric's software products. But please be ready for sticker shock. The machine gets you only a third of the way there. Then comes jigs, fixtures, mills (like router bits) of all shapes and sizes, and SOFTWARE. To give you an idea, Vectric software is among the most affordable full-feature software out there, and the basic carve software is about $700, and the 3d software is 2 grand.

Yes, there are some less expensive CAD/CAM packages, but they are far more complex to use.
