There's a website purporting to list Norm's tools with a link to the Shopsmith tools he used and the episodes he used them in. It is extensive.

When you watch those episodes, don't blink if you are looking for the Shopsmith. Shopsmith paid for some air time but they certainly did not own the hour.

Since you don't know whether Norm inherited a SS from his father, how do you know SS sponsored the first shows.

Why are you trying to stiff Norm? He has INSPIRED more wood workers than we know. I would think as a SS wood worker you would tout the fact that Norm used a SS not trying to debunk it.

I recall Norm using the SS lathe duplicator on one episode of TOH. For duplicating missing ballisters on a porch, if I recall.

OK, I don't currently own a single piece of ShopSmith technology,
since Richard Nixon was Vice President.

BUT, if there is a demonstrator THAT bad, out there trying
to sell ShopSmith products,I'D want to know about it!

The longevity of this company, will keep ME in useful tools
and parts for DECADES to come. Like the Nova G3 chuck I
just purchased, for my Model 10 ShopSmith. (And, it DOES fit!)

I know that Shopsmith sponsored those early New Yankee Workshop programs because I watched them. I have a few of them on VHS that I recorded.

Who is trying to stiff Norm?? My only point was that New Yankee Workshop, while sponsored by Shopsmith (and others), did not highlight the Shopsmith. Yes, it was there but ....
