Between SS's other resources and this forum I have never felt a shortage of available knowledge. It is many times more than is generally available for most other products out there. 
I do really miss going to an event at the Indiana state Fair grounds and not seeing a Shopsmith booth. When my kids were young you could almost see their eyes rolling back
as a Shopsmith booth came into view. They knew that was an automatic stop and they wanted to see other things. 
The one single thing I miss the most, mostly affected those of us that lived with-in a couple of hours of the factory. That was the loss of the factory store...
I can't really convey how useful it was to drop in there now and then and walk around looking at stuff and being able to pick something up and feel its weight and its quality first hand. They also had a lot of special store only sale items there as well. I "really" miss that place. 
I do understand doing what you have to do but it doesn't make me miss it any less...
