Thanks Paul! Means I need to get the extra bar. I suspect I will use it more on my router table but not sure.

The Freud box joint dado set does a good job. Also, If your blade sharpening service has the skills, you can have any dado set re ground to produce absolute flat bottoms.

I think I'll either be gething lucky or foolish here shortly. My father-in-law has had a Foley Belsaw saw sharpening sideline business for years. He was never really very active at it and he lives so far out he rarely had any customers. The one component he was missing was for carbide sharpening. Currently he is "downsizing" in anticipation to move closer to us, doctors, and such. He can't find anyone to buy his stuff so looks like I'll buy it off him for. I just have to find the room for all that gear. Its like 6 or 7 pieces of equipment, training books and binders, all kinds of stuff. I might try and get the carbide sharpening gear to add to it and try to make it work as a side line. At least I'm not a 100 miles from a major city like he is.

What 'major city' is Spokane within 100 miles of?

No, Spokane is not very big in the scheme of things. I'm actually 20 miles north of it and my father in law is another 80 north of me. But at least I still work in town.

The closest I've ever been to Spokane is Seattle, but curiosity got the best of me. A quick Google search just informed me that its population is within spitting distance of that of Lexington, Ky!

Which is within 100 miles of two major cities - Louisville and Cincinnati.

It looks like there were some initial (minor) manufacturing issues with the I-Box installation as evidenced by the older forum posts from 2013 when the I Box was adapted to the SS. It appears that there were satisfactory some work-arounds, but I'm wondering if those issues were fully addressed by Incra in the versions that followed? Thanks. Rick

I was wondering the same thing. Does any one know? It's on sale now.

I can't say for sure what the stratus is but I do know that some replacement parts were sent out to address some of the issues. I would hope that this made it into the future product. Inca is pretty good about things so I was surprise by the issues I found.

I guess the question is has anyone purchased one lately and is it OK?
