I guess when I bought it, as a short term thought I had kind of planned on mounting it on the wall like I have seen as a drill press temporarily as my cheap craftsman one took a dump. But after lifting this, I don't know about that. The real long term reason for buying this is if I ever get a burr up my rear to try wood turning I could set this unit aside for that.

As to the weight :eek: , nothing so exotic in the materials, but the motor is heavy on its own, add in the cast iron bits, thick walled way tubes (much thicker than on the Mk 5/V's) and the angle iron stand and you are well over 200 lb.
