Not only a cost issue, but a priority issue. We do analyze the search terms that are requested most frequently in the site's search engine and adjust results for those terms to be more useful. Terms like "miter gauge" and "rip fence" don't come up as common searches. Forum search isn't included in the analytics I use, I'm certain its frequency list would be different.

I appreciate the information given within the forum on service issues, we can't get to all that is needed.

A more immediate problem, on my list, is that information is too scattered. Parts are one place, videos in several other places, manuals and other PDFs yet another place. I'm working toward adding links on appropriate pages to gather more of it into better starting places.

And I do believe that we all appreciate the work that goes into maintaining this site even though there is an occasional grumbling.

I experience a small amount of the real world every time I attempt to straighten out my own computer files. Those files that I would really not want to lose are duplicated in different locations and are not synchronized with similar files stored elsewhere I often pull up a document that is not what I really wanted because I have multiple copies (not all same vintage).

Admin,

I am not familiar with managing forum software and don't know for certain the 'indexing' feature is available on this one or not. If it is, indexing might be an option to help locate key words a user was searching for without having to adjust search results after a review of past searches manually. That feature does a Boolean search combining words entered, searching indexed words and presenting results that include all the posts with all the words first.

On parts search that might help if that option is available.

Just received a miter gauge I bought on eBay. It doesn't match the dwg. In the 1983 manual. Scanning this forum sorted out what I have and I think it will be better than an original vintage part. I'm so grateful you folks operate these forums. I've been an owner for a week. So much to learn!
