Thanks Dusty, the main table does adjust up and down freely but i'll double check to be sure.. I'll have to check this out tonight

Until I drilled out holes, as a result of online communications with Shopsmith, mine were all 3/8". The discussion began, originally, during the Sawdust Sessions and has continued on until now. HOWEVER, I am hear to tell you that drilling out the trunnion holes (from 3/8" to 1/2") will not cure the alignment problem that you say you have. You can actually see this yourself. With the table mounted and all four trunnion bolts loose, grasp your main table with both hands and move it around. You will readily see that the table can be shifted "some" in all different directions. Now, push the table away from you and as far as you can to the left. While holding the table in place on the outfeed side, shift the infeed side to the right. It will move less than about 1/8".

So My best course of action now it to attempt to drill them out and then align the table. if i screw it up i guess i can order a new rear trunnion
Well now the question is, does SS correct manufacturing defects regardless of current owner or not?
I hope this is not the end of this!

They didn't offer to replace them
of course i didn't ask. I"ll know more in a couple of hours when i get home and attempt to realign the table. I'll try and take a few pictures of what i'm talking about..

Sounds like Gale/Gail was responding with 7 yr ago procedure. Not her fault!!!!!

The main table can be properly adjusted without drilling out the holes.
Increasing the holes size only makes that adjustment procedure a bit easier and less tedious.
If a table cannot be accurately adjusted without drilling out the holes, there is something else wrong.
This is a simple thing but when doing the table adjustments make certain that the main table is perpendicular to the blade and that all locks (especially the carriage lock and the headstock lock) are secure.
Do the alignments with all four legs firmly planted on the floor (not up on wheels).
Make certain that the headrest locked is secure.

Are the mounting screws not 3/8"? If so there is no way the table is adjustable with both holes in the rear trunion equal to 3/8".

Be careful there. That is an awfully hard position to take. My trunnions were not redrilled until just a few years ago and I have always been able to align the table.
If you haven't attempted to move a table around on the trunnions with the rear trunnion holes drilled to 3/8", you need to try it before you take such a hard stance.
If every thing else is properly installed, the main table does not have to move very much to zero it in.

Well Guys You are helping the biggest dope there is
i don't know why i didn't so this in the first place maybe it was because i wasn't felling the best or my mind is on my vacation to the beach
any way. As you can see from the pictures I was able to do a rough alignment of the table
i need to do a more precise alignment but at least the table is straight
I might at some time drill out the rear trunnions but for now I'll work with this.
