Except for those fences that are an upgrade, where else beside the 'parts' section would one reasonably expect to find one?
Realistically, I doubt there is much demand for a fence.
Of course one who purchased a used SS sans a fence would, but they be 'rare'.

Read the PDF in
http://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/viewt ... 77#p193477 and see what is possible if you step out of the first Search Box that we see.

That's just fine. Everett, BUT--- Don't you think that a SIMPLE, one site method would be better? My thought is - Any item produced by Shopsmith should be simple to locate on the Company's web site without first going to another site. Consideration should be foremost toward those newer Shopsmith users who are relatively un-schooled on the Shopsmith site and are confused easily by part terminology of parts. Maybe they just bought a used 510 without a fence. Don't we want to keep them as Shopsmith users for a long-long time? Why make things more difficult?
I can remember those days when I thought The word "fence" was an adequate description of a "Rip Fence".
Comm-on! Is there another Shopsmith tool that cannot be found directly on the Shopsmith site?
Yes, and some sites can embed Google Search inside them while others can't. I don't know if Shopsmith's site can. We all have a variety of woodworking tools. I just tried to provide some additional search tool options, but you are right.
Sadly, in law enforcement circles, 'a fence' can often be someone who knowingly buys stolen property for resale, to unsuspecting buyers. Some folks have to search for criminal fences too, but they won't show up in search engines either which can make finding them and bringing them to justice more difficult. In that case some one was Ripped-off and things were fenced.

Realistically, There is not much demand for most Shopsmith parts.
However there is probably just as much demand for a 510 fence as a 500 fence. As the 500 fence is easy to find - why shouldn't the 510 fence be just as easily found.
I can easily remember the day when my fumbling fingers dropped my 510 rip fence on the concrete floor. I needed a new "fence base" (514254). Luck was with me. At that time, the 510 rip fence was easy to find on the Shopsmith site. Am I the only person that needed a part for my fence? Doubt it!
