1 3/4 HP motor.

I've gotta take the front shroud off and take a look at the indeed roller. I'm guessing it will need to be replaced too. Wife has kept me out of the shop for the past couple of days.

Ill be happy to replace a few minor parts given the price I paid.

If the 'indeed' roller needs replacing you have a decision to make! Rubber or ribbed steel. The steel roller is supposed to be an improvement, but, it dimples the workpiece on very light cuts. I would think raising the grain then sanding would solve that, but it is extra effort.

Nice Score! Work to do, but it will be worth it!

When you are ordering the feed roller(s) you might consider getting a Dust Chute as well.

Indeed! Got to take a closer look at the planer today. It already has the steel infeed roller. So, I'm just going to replace the rear roller .

I even put a few boards through it and was pleasantly surprised.

The blades definitely need to be resharpened and they aren't quite set right. I think they are a little high.

(The plained board thickness is thiner than the depth guage setting)

Do Not Adjust the Blades. Adjust the depth setting guage.

Ah! That sounds easier! Fortunately I hadn't started anything there quite yet.

Excellent deal. A little cleanup and it should perform nicely.
