I have allowed all my "wood working" magazine subscriptions to lapse, even my beloved Wood Mag. My reason for doing this is I'm finding most articles are written just to feel space. They are poorly researched, poorly written, and often seem to reflect only the big sponsors agenda.

Tool review are almost pathetic, recent mag did a review of nail guns, they hit the big four but never mentioned there was many guns made by lesser known companies that were better and cheaper.

I am considering getting a video only subscription to woodsmith premier.

It appears that a great number of the respondents to that article are quite happy with their own Shopsmiths.
Many disagreed with the article's implied conclusions, as well.
As Mark Twain once observed "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated"

I am guessing most here are over 50 and are conservatives, and watch and listen to conservative TV/Radio, the local news and Lester Holt, I do, the media as well as wood worker mags need to create and spin poop, thats what sells, and if you have not figured it out and read between the lines, then go to your Alzheimer Doctor and get evaluated.
