FWIW, the 1 1/2" drum sanding mandrel fits thin wall 10ER tubes perfectly so it should fit MK V tubes since they are the same diameter and wall thickness.

Hey thanks John, I think I even have one of those around here somewhere.
By the way, the 10ER you rebuilt is probably the most stunning piece of restoration I have ever seen. I wish you would do one for me sometime!

Thanks for the kind words. I still have the main table top to finish and then it will be done. I wouldn't mind doing one for someone else but it would be tough logistically given where I live.

Unfortunately no guest room. If all the new bearings and other new parts that might be needed were on hand you might be able to do it that fast. I don't think I would really want to try though.
