Many of the germans do woodworking like we do here but wood is harder to come by over there. I think they have more places to buy from now than they did in the 1960's, I became friends with some of the polish guard and ur dishpatcher in the MP was polish. He was a in a POW camp in WW2 and as he told me if the war had went on any longer he would have been killed along with the rest of his family. He did a lot of wood working and we use to get together and work with wood. One of my most prized things from there is he made me a set of goblets and a set of 10 inch palates out of local wood and gave them to me the last day Iwas in Germany

Nice Sawmill, as you tell it, what I hear is he was very thankful for the US intervention, that saved him and family from the work camps and then the ovens.
