I just have to remember to look to see if there any messages. I seldom do. It's just a memory thing and mine has been fading lately.

I usually don't login, I mostly just read what you smart people are writing. So I miss PMs, but they are rare anyway. I will eventually see them.

I kind of have to agree with JPG. LOL Whenever you are logged in, you can see whether you have an unread PM or not. It is on every page at the top. You have a "notifications" flag and a "private message" flag where you can see either a 0 (no notifications or PM's) or the number of notifications/PM's. Pretty effective. I know I wouldn't check a thread for PM's, I always just look at the top of the page each time I log in ...

JMHO :D

This is a non issue. One just has to learn how to use the forum.
Does that mean I have been dismissed?

Yes, JPG, I have not figured out how to do that. Also, is not an email sent to the PM receiver just like email notifications of a new post to a thread?

I have to agree that the functionality already exists so let's not reinvent the wheel. If you get a PM and you choose not to respond that is a personal choice. Adding another layer of reminder probably won't change that.

Quite simple actually. Most difficult part is determining the 'bounds' of that which is to be deleted. With multiple quotes, the correct

Yup, that is what I do but I usually get it wrong with multiple quotes. I will keep trying though.
