I just have to remember to look to see if there any messages. I seldom do. It's just a memory thing and mine has been fading lately.

Does that mean I have been dismissed?jsburger wrote:rjent wrote:I kind of have to agree with JPG. LOL Whenever you are logged in, you can see whether you have an unread PM or not. It is on every page at the top. You have a "notifications" flag and a "private message" flag where you can see either a 0 (no notifications or PM's) or the number of notifications/PM's. Pretty effective. I know I wouldn't check a thread for PM's, I always just look at the top of the page each time I log in ...cooch366 wrote:
That assumes the "receiver" is AWARE that they/receiver knows they/receiver have a PM. Which is why in my original question I asked if members check on a regular basis. Because I've seen numerous threads where senders ask receivers to check their PM's
JMHO
This is a non issue. One just has to learn how to use the forum.

Yup, that is what I do but I usually get it wrong with multiple quotes. I will keep trying though.JPG wrote:jsburger wrote:Yes, JPG, I have not figured out how to do that. Also, is not an email sent to the PM receiver just like email notifications of a new post to a thread?
Quite simple actually. Most difficult part is determining the 'bounds' of that which is to be deleted. With multiple quotes, the correctneed to be identified and deleted. Then just mark and delete the verbage.... wrote: and
