Great job!

Beautiful job on the mallets
This is not nearly the quality of yours but some might find it somewhat like yours in purpose. I am a wood carver of sorts and found my mallets too heavy for small chisels. I made this one out of Walnut and Beau-de-arc,or Osage Orange to some. I did the same thing which wasn't shown in the photos with regard to epoxy installed leather on the faces. The character in the photo is about 6" tall.
As you can see I had not seen the post by Buckeye Dennis on the using tape method to eliminate router burns

Re: Joiners Mallet
Very attractive!!!! I have made 3 similar from a plan in one of the WW magazines, they suggest a 5* angle on the faces, better contact according to them. On one side I epoxy on 1/4" shoe sole leather, which is very hard, for softer tapping. I used hard Maple and Brazilian Cherry which is very hard for the head and hard maple or ash for the handle with some walnut.
If I can figure out how to down load pics on the Lap Top and its Windows 10, I will post them. Not sure if the media card fits in the port, seems to, but just does not feel right and does not show up as a device being plugged in. Off to Best Buy tomorrow for there expertise on that.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.
