There is value there.

Maybe enough to help you get some physical help finishing your existing projects for just some of that gear, and another new, trained Shopsmith owner is born, as you train them how to use the gear, finishing your projects.

We don't just see the wood, we see the finished project that is waiting on us to clear away the extra material with our Shopsmith, to reveal it.

I had a boat when I was introduced to my wife, kept it till we were married 3 years. My wife sees me spending SO much less on this hobby than my boating/fishing days she's ok with any of today's purchases. As you pointed out, the value of what you are buying is significantly higher than what you're paying for it, that's an INVESTMENT. (Maybe that'll work?) Good luck, and I'm sorry, you gotta buy that, for that price.

Brenda and Johns wife, you seem to be more practical and cut a bit from a different mold then most woman, and I dont mean to sound sexist. Maybe that is just your personalities and being in the military, which again the majority of woman where/are not. That was also not meant to be offensive or sexist. :)

So steamdragon an other young men here a true reenactment,
I am sure you heard the story/joke of the young bull and the old bull, if not pm me.
So in the mid 90s my SO and I were going to go on a cruise and she needed a swim suite or 2,so we are at some swim suite beach ware at the Mall, now back then we both ran Marathons the 26.2 mile ones, is there any others? So she is trim fit and curvaceous but we are in our early 40s. Heck I weighted 160lb doing Tris and the Iron Man 3 times. So they have Director Chairs facing the changing rooms and Beth goes in to try one on and there is a young man sitting next to me and his SO comes out in a 2 piece that she wore well and had a nice figure, she said do you like it he said yes, she went back in and we struck up a conversation, going to be cruising about the same time and man talk. So Beth comes out in a one piece but remember we are in our 40s and she is fit and trim and hippy and busty, but no fat, not a 2 piece girl at 40ish or me in a Uro Speedo, just not class.
Then his SO comes out in an other and asked how he liked it, WOW, she sez can I get both, he sez no, she goes back to change into her street close.
I said if you want some real loven tonight and dont want it thrown up in your face in divorce court 20 years from now, about her only to get one bikini, when she comes out tell her she looked so fabulous in both buy them for her.
Mean while I told him the story of my X of 20 years at a pre court property settlement/agreement, and she started to go on about the 3 speeding tickets I got, she told the date, day of the week, where we were, the freaken weather, at $250 a hour each, her attorney said Sue shut up, and asked mine to explain it to her, he deferred back to hers, Sue we charge in 6 minute icraments you just got charged this much $ for useless BS.
So I told him, down the road, when if ever you get a divorce, she will bring up the you can only have 1 Bikini. She came out and he said Honey, you looked so good in them, I want you to have both, and turned to me and with his eyes, said thanks.

Boot camp in Orlando would explain some things. Everyone knows the only REAL sailors went to boot camp in Great Lakes.

By freak coincidence, I suddenly find myself walking in Steamdragon's shoes.

There is an online auction company in Columbus that auctions off stuff that was returned to Amazon for whatever reason. I've gotten great bargains there on a whole bunch of stuff. Tonight, they auctioned off a brand new Shop Fox 8" parallelogram jointer, and I had a chance to check it out in person a couple days ago. Pristine in cosmoline, it was. I took photos of all the contents, downloaded the manual, and verified that all the parts were there. Only problem I could see was that the staples holding the bottom of the crappy crate had pulled loose in the middle. I think that spooked someone into refusing delivery. So I put in the winning bid, at about 40% of list price.

I do hope that the wife is in a good mood when I bring it home tomorrow!
