This one cut pretty easy but some of them, well now I have the bandsaw I do have that option.

Ed, I've seen those squashes. Makes me question the viability of my
"good" chef's knife. Spaghetti squash, especially young squash, will
TEST a knife blade.
Maybe, the bandsaw was a good idea, Francis!

Well, For metal working, I don't have a portable bandsaw however, I do have a small 4 x 6 model which I purchased from Northern 8 years ago. It's uses the 64-1/2" blades and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Yes, There are better saws available however, I have cut an enormous amount of tubing (round, square and rectangular) along with flat bar, solid rnd, etc...
Way tubes, No problem with the saw. As long as you set the machine up correctly, It makes beautiful cuts with Bi-Metal blades...

According to the specs this should be able to cut 5" which I have not varified but hope is true.
Pretty much rained out this past week, well at least when I was wanting to try it out. This week is full of things to do so I'm not sure I'll get to using it then either.
As it is turning out I could have waited for Mother's Day and got the extra 5% off.....
