I wasn't bragging or complaining I was only trying to say, 60% humidity is not that high to damage your tools if you keep them properly coated in Johnston Paste wax.

A gallon of water may seem like a lot but here in Florida air conditioners in cars and houses run water out condensation tube constantly.

You are smart to dehumidify as high humidity in a closed room will cause mildew. But I don't think you need to worry about your tools too much.

My tools sit in the garage without humidity control unless I'm working in there and have the air on. They are exposed to high humidity but they don't rust because I keep them well coated in wax.

And no you don't get use to high humidity you just learn to stay a step ahead of it with you tool care. Air conditioning is a blessing!
