Really like your pens! They look very professional and unique. I have been reading up on it and the possibilities appear endless. How easy is it to form and polish up the acrylate material? Is it significantly different from wood? The cyanoacrylate finish, is it hard to work with? Does it add a real depth to the gloss? Sorry for all the questions, just eager to learn. My apologies if this has been covered a million times already.

Sorry for the really late response. Acrylic needs to be cut and not scraped(carbide inserts). The polish is easy wet sanding to 12k grit. It is different than wood.
For the CA finish I apply about 4 coats of thin CA and then wet sand from 1500 up. I add more coats if needed. It does add a super gloss and hard finish to the pen. I don't find it hard to work with but can be time consuming to get a perfect finish.

I finished my sister in law's 50th birthday pen. She retired a couple years ago from the Air Force. So I made her a chrome Wall St. II with Falcon Lava acrylic. I bought the last blank at my local Woodcraft. They were a special order for the Academy.
I think it turned out nice and she loves it. Win/Win
