Hand screws are great fo holding small parts while drilling small parts. They make a great vise for cutting small parts on a scroll saw. I have used larger hand screws to pull 4x4s into alignment while building some garden beds. I used always be running out of clamps. Most of the time it just made the project take longer. A few years ago I had a rush job to do. I had 24 hours to get it done with no time to waste. I had to go to the first place that had what I needed and pay full retail for what I needed. After that I went on a quest to find bargain prices on clamps. It took a while but I found them. I have bessy clamps I got for less than harbor freight clamp sale prices.
It's amazing how many clamps you can use on even a small project.
This is off subject, BUT I have to ask. Aren't those treated lumber? Isn't treated lumber dangerous to use for garden beds?
