ERLover wrote:Ya John according to the MW catalog and Skip the 2 step pulley was an option so if cross cutting something that extended over there like a 2x?x?, take off the pulley guard, and the table saw table could be set at a height to cut it, and not be interfered with the 3 step pulley. I hope that made sense.
Well, that is what the accessory manual said. Did you read the manual page I poster? That was my point1

John I have in the past, but not looking for that point, I am sure it is there based on your feed back on this, I mean you contributed to this and know it inside ant outside. I will do that now, and report back.
John, I dont want to or have any intentions to make this into a Dusty/JPG thing  I have to spend my energy elsewhere :)

With an 8" blade, maximum cut depth was 2 1/4". Not sure if the smaller pulley increased that, or if it allowed it to be that deep.

Bet John can determine the answer!

I don't have the two step pulley but if it is a 2" X 3" then I believe that is true.

Depth of cut with an 8" blade and the pulley guard installed is 1 1/2". With the pulley guard removed and the 3 step pulley installed the depth of cut is 1 7/8".

Assuming the two step pulley is 2" X 3" , the accessory catalog does not say, as near as I can tell it will be even or just below the top of the head stock. That allows the table to be lowered all the way and the depth of cut is 2 1/4".

The pulley is about a 1/16" higher then the HS.

OK, then it will still allow one to cut 2" stock which is what the description says it is for.

I got the tubes cleaned up and waxed along with the table and its tubes. I put the sanding disc on and sanded some curves for my wood working bench leg new leg supports. Nice to have a plug and play one.
