Not from bar stock, on the back it is casted in there "Die Casting & MFG. CO
Chicago, IL. Really nice pulleys though. I hope no one got plugged arteries from the Cheese Cake :)
Interesting, they sure don't look cast in the pictures on his web site.
Dont feel like it by there weight. I just put a magnet on them and no sticking maybe not die cast as the company name sez but from bar stock from them, that feels like it and makes more sense.
They weigh 2x more then the factory pulley.

ERLover wrote:Well I went to put the new pulleys on today, motor pulley slid right on, HS pulley shaft was cleaned up with 220 wet and no burrs or any thing feeling ruff, a 32nd" chamfer on the edge of it, a little 3n1 oil on the shaft, I could only get the pulley on about an 1/8" at most with hand pressure, hard to pull off, I had to wiggle it a bit, I put a sanding disc on the spindle and turned that by hand and some more 220 on a block on the pulley shaft, same thing. Emailed Skip about it, have not heard back. I dont want to Gorilla it on. It should fit like a glove, but not like it is now on OJs hand.
I hooked up my drill to the spindle shaft to turn the HS pulley shaft and polished up, fits fine now.

Quite often if a pulley won't go on a shaft and the shaft is clean, I put the pulley in a toaster oven at about 300 for a while. It will expand a tad and slip on. Don't forget the gloves! damhik! (JPG can translate that)

Don't Ask Me How I Know - translation - comment, Shopsmiths do tend to run a bit warm.... but that would be pushing it...
