Having owned and loved many dogs I haven't found one that was self sufficient. To properly care for a dog requires a lot of care giving.
Agreed an older dog that is house broken is a lot less needy than a pup but they do require a place on your daily schedule. If the schedule is already crowded this can be an extra challenge.

I will say it is a nice looking dog. Rescue dogs are the best but many have baggage which often explains why they were rescue dogs to begin with. Best to you and the dog.

Thanks Ed I know, I have had dogs all my life till about 95, bread and raised Beagles, I have the time, mom does not need constant attention. And it is good for her, already has taken an attention/loven from mom! The dog walks will do some good for me too. If I was a youngen, this dog would be a Chick magnet.
