Well! Since I don't have an owner's manual for the SS mounted planer with nothing to refer to except my Pro Planer manual which doesn't address the planer mounted on a Mark V. I was not aware of mounting brackets. Looking at the picture brackets are not distinguishable unless you know they are there can someone give a clue as to part numbers?

In any case I didn't get any brackets with the purchase.

Easily made.

Partial hole indent for the way tubes.

Bolt through into the threaded holes on the bottom. 3/8-16 x 1 1/2 beyond clamp.

Thanks so much for the pics. consider these made. I wish all problems were this simply to take care of.

James, after you posted the picture of the clamp assembly., I realized it is the same clamp assembly on my SS speed reducer, SS part # 5156146 current number, old number in the owner's manual is 513756. They are $17.67 each from SS. Since I have one to use as a pattern, I probably will try to duplicate.

I will often use only one clamp. Does not seem to be much size to size movement along the tubes. But just my opinion.

After JPG showed a picture. I decided to save a couple of bucks and came up with this solution using scraps laying around. Not pretty but I think they will work. comments!!

Likely adequate since the planer itself has insets for the way tubes. However only the screw positions it.

Not sure what you mean. The planer is positioned by the indents on the bottom and the weight of the unit. All the screw does is secure it to the way tubes to keep it from sliding either way.

When I purchased this jigsaw it came without an insert for the table. I tried to order one from SS, no luck not available. Bill Mayo tells me he has several jigsaws all of which have no inserts.

I decided to solve the problem by making one. I had a choice, 1/4" aluminum plate, 1/4" wood, 1/4" acrylic, 1/4" Lexan, I choose the Lexan because of it's durability and remembering back several years ago before I got a scroll saw how difficult it was to change blades because to almost always had to look under the table to see what you were doing. In any case I hope this is not too boring.
