The last two elections offered us 2 dysfunctional candidates, so this year isn't much different. Also, the 1968 and the 1972 elections offered two dysfunctional candidates.
And, if you remember 1968, the country was out of control and approaching anarchy just like today.

They will fit right in when one of them gets(returns) to DC.
