But it is all good. Also they are 'imported' goods.
Are you saying Maine is not part of the U.S.?

I must be confused!
Thought(?) they were in Canada!
So who am I confusing them with???
I thought so. Lee Valley
http://www.leevalley.com/us/home.aspx is the Canadian company.
Lie-Nielsen makes high end planes and other cutting tools in Maine.
Lie-Nielsen had a tool demo in Salt lake City for the first time last year and they are having another one this year.

is it Veritas that you are thinking about????
Ottawa, Canada

Yep! And the "V" explanation was unnecessary!!

To be honest JPG, I thought both were from there, but since they are too rich for my blood, never owned either. Lee Valley now rings another brain cell or 2.Even though they all make really nice stuff. I would like to get a Shoulder Plane, but if I do, it will be WC Green River brand I think. About 45-50$ cheaper.

It looks like Lee Valley sells stuff of other manufactures, for instance planes are 90% Veritas.

Lee Valley and Veritas were both founded by the late Leonard Lee. Veritas manufactures, Lee Valley sells.
