Thanks ecom1 for posting the youtube link. That looks like a great push stick from Mr. Bates. I sketched one out which will attach, just haven't made it yet, but soon. On smaller stuff, I was having problems with the rippings kicking up on the back side of blade using the standard push stick. This one might be a bit shorter than Jay's (by eye) as Shipsmith table shorter. If anyone makes one via sketch, let me know how it works. Or any modifications to make. As the lights go up and the Christmas cards go out, might be a few days before back out in the shop. All the best, Jeff

Do a Google Image search for push stick. Note that a couple of them may be too distracting for shop use.

No problem Jeff. I had a 15" piece of 2x6 kicking around, so that's what I used - at first I thought it was too long, but it does give extra support and downward push ability, especially on longer stock.
