Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

Re: Help with faded CAUTION label please

Post by br549 »

Thanks to all who replied, especially ChrisNeilan and ecom1 for the pictures of their similar vintage machine labels. And to JPG for correcting me on picture size limits ... I usually resize my pictures to 150 dpi, 10" wide, so my width is usually 1500 and height is 1000 since my camera is set to 35 mm standard 3:2 ratio. I had part of the right numbers, just got them in wrong position.

Attached is a pdf of my re-created CAUTION label for a 1982ish machine, using Chris's photo as my template. I got as close as I could to the font, line spacing, and character spacing using my rusty AutoCAD skills. I'm pretty sure my 1980 label was identical, so next time I'm at the copy store I'll get one made up on clear label stock.

And for easier comparison, side by side:

Mine is faded too so it is no longer readable, but I don't care. I know that you don't turn the speed adjustment with the motor off, so the label isn't important to me.
