Steven Pool (n240sxle91) and James Grange Sr. (JPG) working together have contributed information that enabled me to draw the wiring diagram for the 4th type of motor for the 1960's Mark VII, which appears below. It is not in the restored manual yet. I will try to find time to do that, but I am extremely busy at work, and have that Preliminary 10E manual that I am restoring from John Burger's only known original copy that has been found.

That preliminary manual restoration will not have quite the image quality of the other two 10E and 10ER manuals I restored, solely because the quality of the original release was not as clear in 1947.

I am listing this drawing for someone with a Mark VII that had the 1 1/8HP GE Motor MODEL 5KC37PG 479 with an external motor start relay, who finds this thread and needs it.

I noticed an error in the parts section of the manual (Page 70). Not a big deal, but under "PM14" you have "e" listed. I believe "e" should actually be "6".

I was looking at the miter gauge parts and noticed another one. On P.69 you have "Assembly - Lock Stud" listed as #26. It should be #28.

Once again, not a big deal. Most of us will figure that out, so I wouldn't say there is any rush to getting it corrected! Thanks again for restoring the manual in the first place!

Thanks! I am building a "To Do" list of things and will re-visit this with a version 2 of the restored manual at some point. I am slammed at work for the next few months and want to do more than a quick review of it before publishing a new release.

I would love to add some new content with high resolution photos of your unit with the Mark V speed control adaptation, and one of JPG's with the entire Mark V upper headstock conversion on a Mark VII.

Completely understand how busy you are! I would love to contribute in any way I can. I can work on getting you the hi-res pics, and that way you'll have them when you have time to work on it.

Do not either apologize nor feel nit picky with those pages. They were not scrutinized by me since they were not directly comparable to the original parts manual(not directly anyway). Apparently I failed to do so.

I have a couple of things you could add to the Mark VII parts manual.

The Poly V Belt part number can be "507491" OR "501298 DF".
The Motor Belt part number can be "507490" OR "501330 DF".

You could also add a note that the actual size of the Motor Belt is 29.5" x 1/2". That way anyone who looks at it can decipher what size belt they need to order.

I was excited to see the "error" VH until I read further down. What have you found as a vacuum hose replacement and conections? I recently purchase the Magna Mark VII and it was missing all except the bag.

I don't use the vacuum on mine. It's been disabled. Guessing it might even give back a little HP to the motor by not having to move the fan blades.

Hopefully someone else can answer your questions on fitting size and bag replacement options.
