OK, I couldn't remember the Chambers Brothers so I hit Google. I found a soul band from the 1960's, a criminal gang from the 1980's and the two that invested in Hans' dream...
There was also a Chambers family here that built super high quality kitchen stoves and later aircraft parts but I doubt that you were referencing them.
I ran across an on-line copy of Popular Science 1950 at:

That article is correct. Bob and Frank Chambers financed Hans Goldschmidt and they together started Shopsmith. The Chambers brothers were from Salt Lake City UT. They grew up in Magna, UT which is about 10 miles west of down town Salt Lake. Magna engineering was named after Magna UT. That fact was confirmed by Doug Reid who new Bob Chambers personally. In fact Bob gave Doug his personal MK V Greenie because he said no one in his family wanted it.
The first attachment is Bob Chanbers obituary from the Deseret News in Salt Lake City. The second is a picture of Bob and Doug with Bob's Greenie. I got the picture directly from Doug.

I found that living in Canada getting parts are a pain in the butt it is actually easier to go out and buy a second hand SS and part it out for what I need. SS in the States will not ship to Canada, I have to try and get it through 1 place in Toronto, and the mark up is horrible

Because I'm retired and on limited income I buy where I can get the best bang for the buck. I try to buy from SS when I can but it doesn't make sense to spend $500 for a item when you can get it for $100 from somewhere else.
