My Powermatic has a fixed "washer" on the arbor and one that goes on after the blade and then the nut. I have not measured them but they are at least 2" in diameter. I expect the SawStop is the same so that should not be a problem.

Definitely agree. When I got my Shopsmith second hand, the seller gave me a Forrest Dado King, Woodworker II 40T, and a Duraline Plywood and Melamine blade. I couldn't believe it at the time. Thankfully, the Dado King still has the 5/8" hole and was on an adaptor. I will definitely be sending the Woodworker II and Duraline off to Forrest to get bushings put on. The combo blade that came with the SawStop is pretty good, but nothing beats the WWII. And JPG, thankfully the SawStop arbor does have outside washers that should cover the 1-1/4" hole.

Did Forrest happen to mention what, exactly, was the downside of using bushings?
