For construction work on a second floor job site, there is nothing better for ripping than one of the new, lightweight portable contractor saws. And a chop saw for miters...

My workshop is in the basement. It was easy to get the Shopsmith down there. it is a 2 person job because it is awkward.

I think that it’s not a bad choice.
This tool looks reliable and multifunctional. I am not a professional in the area, but my father is, and he has a ShopSmith tool. He says that he bought it when we had just moved into the new house. He got it not from a store but from our real estate agent. He wanted to get a new one and was selling the old one.
I think that it’s important for a person to work with their own hands and make something. Creating something helps to set your mind in the right condition and reduce anxiety.
