I just bought a Mark V 510 and sent this inquiry to Shopsmith;

I have purchased a used Mark V, I believe it is the 510. I am up in Michigan in an unheated shop. The motor will not get up to speed, is this normal?

Yes it is, it is way too cold at this time of year.
