Those of us who have been SS owners long enough and have a functioning memory do recall the dimensions in 'marketing' efforts as well as user manuals etc..

However a bit of 'research' indicates 1/8" and 1/4" in 50 year old catalog.

That does not jive with the cam lobe heights. :confused:

Well, I went ahead and drilled new holes with the legs flat on the floor. I put the Mark 7 in the drill press position to make the installation process easier. All seemed well. After placing the unit back into horizontal position, I noticed the headstock was difficult to slide all the way to the left. I have been trying to figure out what I did wrong. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? Oh, I did wax the way tubes.

I remember in one of Nicks videos he suggested you loosen the tubes and rotate them until the headstock slides smoothly. He said the tubes develop a slight bend over time that could hamper the movement of the headstock. I'm sure if the video still exist someone will know exactly which one it is.
