Absolutely agree Al. If it were the lower saw blade guard the carriage bolt would be in the saw guard and the knob would be on the floor. The band saw or strip sander table knob would fall off with both pieces probably still connected together.
Has anyone figured out a solution for the dreaded lower saw guard knob dropping off? I HATE that!

I knew I could count on the ever-resourceful Shopsmith community! Thank you all for taking the time to help me out. In case you missed my earlier post, it was the leveling bolt from the bandsaw table.
