You don't need a real high thread count. I used TB lll and a piece of 3/4 MDF with waxed paper under it with sand bags on top for weight.

The ones I've seen used unprimed artist's canvas - you can get it from art supply places like Michael's or Jerry's Artarama. Make sure it's unprimed (raw), though. Tommy MacDonald (Rough Cut) used regular yellow glue. Woodsmith Shop used contact cement. So I guess either would work.

There seem to be several options ,I wasnt sure about the spray adhesive lasting as long ,going to give this canvas a try , hope it isnt too heavy / stiff ,,,thanks
